I have read many books with this warning in them : This book contains some disturbing situations, violence, strong language, and sexual content. Reading is recommended for those over 18 years of age. When I started the first page of this book, I honestly didn’t think I could read the rest. The first page really lets you know exactly what you are in for while reading this particular book. I have never had a book have the kind of effect on me that made me second guess what I was capable of reading but the writing in this book sure did that. I am so glad I finished the book because the writing pulled me further and further into the world that Madison was living and I wanted to see her crush her demons, however she could.
What happens when you have a horrible childhood and your dad is a serial killer? Well you grow up and join the FBI , so you can help catch your so called father. Madison didn’t have it easy growing up and she had a plan for herself. Get her PHD and then join the next group of trainees for the FBI. It’s funny how life can throw you a curve because that’s what happen to Madison. Her father escaped from prison and was coming for her! This story takes you on one emotional journey and I cried more than once for Madison. But she has two gorgeous guys to help her deal with everything that is being thrown at her. Scott, who is a childhood friend who saved her way back when she was a little girl and they lost touch but only to be thrown together again. Scott is the kind of guy every girl wants. Charming, good looking and great in bed but who really loves Madison and always has. Liam, is a good looking guy with a dark side and Madison thinks she can save him but she learns you can’t save everyone, some people just can’t be saved. She has feeling for Liam but not as deep as for Steve and that causes trouble between all three. I really think Liam deserves his own story but then again I’m always drawn to the ones who have a dark side.
I could hardly quit reading because of all the things that happen. There is never a dull moment in this book and that’s what makes me keep reading until the wee hours of the morning. Do Not take the warnings lightly, this book deals with a very dark subject but because Madison is strong and wants to move on with her life, she will stop at nothing in order to have the happiness she deserves. I can’t say enough about this book and I can’t wait until I read more from this very talented author.

You can find Genevieve curled up reading paranormal romance and romantic thrillers, or frantically typing her stories on her laptop.

Psychology is her trade by day, teaching and molding the minds of college students. Her interest in psychology can be seen in her books, each including many psychological undertones. Although she loves teaching,  her passion, her true love, lays in the stories that roam around her in head. Yes, they all come from her mind–the good, the bad, and the totally insane.

She lives in Massachusetts–no not Boston-with her husband, daughter, and American Eskimo dog. With each story she shares, she hopes her love for writing and storytelling seeps through, encompassing the reader and leaving them wanting more.
