I love when you get the “rest of a story” and that is what Zoe York has done with this book, we first met Jason and Julie in Kissed by a seal, this is the rest of their story and what a story it is. Who of us has made plans just to have said plans have something happen to those plans. It is how these two reacted to their plans and made it work for them. I received this book for a fair and honest review.

Book 5 in the Pine Harbour series: Dean Foster (ex-cop, army reservist, newly minted bodyguard) meets his match in Liana Hansen (Nashville superstar, woman of many secrets, supremely reluctant protectee).

I really enjoyed this book it’s Dean’s story. He is such an alpha character. You get some more interaction with his brothers which makes me think there will be more Pines Harbour books in the future and that makes me so happy.

I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review.

The Navy SEAL’s fresh start lies on the far side of her defeat…
Mick Frasier owes his life to his fellow Navy SEALs. Now that he’s discharged, one of them offers him another lifeline: a new future on the Caribbean island of Miralinda.
But when he arrives at the abandoned sugar plantation he’s supposed to whip into shape as an executive training facility, he finds it already under renovations—overseen by the beautiful director of the island’s Historical Society.
Cara Levasseur is too young for her job. Too pretty. Too…unorthodox. She’s heard it all, and now that she’s finally secured Villa Sucre, she’s not going to let anything get in the way of her first big professional coup.
Not even a sexy, strapping ex-Navy SEAL who isn’t afraid to turn on the charm—or when that doesn’t work, declare all-out war. When she sets up camp in the ballroom, because there’s not a chance in hell she’s giving up her claim on the estate, Mick stakes out his own territory around the only working bathroom on the property.
With tempers flaring and passions running hot, Cara’s intent on not letting Mick ruin this opportunity for her—and she doesn’t want him to ruin anything, either. Her life plan, for example. Or her heart…

As usual Zoe York doesn’t disappoint with her storytelling. I felt like I was in the Caribbean. This is the second book in the series. Each one is written by a different author and each so far seems to be interwoven, but can be read as a stand alone. I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review

NYPD detective Daniel DeCecco didn’t want to fall hard for his best friend’s little sister. But Lucy Sark has a plan…
Off-limits love is tested and honesty (eventually) proves to be the best policy in this standalone sequel to Love On The Record (Griffin and Tessa’s story).

This book is part of the Kindle worlds and I so enjoy this authors writing, she didn’t disappoint me in that respect. I have not read any of the other books in this series and I don’t think that’s a bad thing it just makes me want to pick them up. The male character in the beginning was hard to get into but once I figured him out then I got right into this book. I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review

Off-limits love is tested and honesty (eventually) proves to be the best policy in this standalone sequel to Love On The Record (Griffin and Tessa’s story).

This is a short novella part of the Remington series of Melissa Foster. The author of this book had a chance to add to the series. Lucy has had a crush on Daniel who is her brother’s partner in the NYPD and best friend. She doesn’t think he realizes she exists in the way she’d like since he treats her like a kid. Griffin who is her brother is away with his fiancé. What better time than now to get Daniel the way she wants him with her plan. Will he see Lucy the way she wants or will the plan backfire? This was a very sweet short novella. The author did a great job as this book didn’t feel rushed like novellas tend to do. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it for someone that’s looking for a sweet book that can be finished fairly quickly.

I received an Arc from the author in exchange for an honest review
