Henry Richardson is the man in the shadows. He’s the calm and cool protector that everyone relies on to restore order among the chaos that is Shaft. After having his heart broken, not once, but twice, Henry is determined that it’s safer for everyone involved that he remain on the sidelines. He is content to hide behind his trademark shades and watch as his adopted family thrive in the limelight. When the live-in nanny for Shaft quits with no notice just before a much needed vacation, her replacement is nothing like Big Man expected.Rae Sloan is sassy and independent. She loves kids; working at the daycare center inside Ironsound Records was her dream job until she was offered something more.A live-in position with one of the hottest bands in the country. When Henry and Rae collide, the tension is through the roof. Neither one of them are emotionally available, but what happens when those layers you have to protect yourself are suddenly stripped away? When push comes to shove, Henry will have to make a choice that will change his life forever. Can Henry find love, or will he lose everything while fighting the demons within himself?

This author has done it, she has made me a fan of Rock star books. The Shaft family has definitely had their ups and downs in these books. This was Henry’s book, and I thought that this author had me with Hunter oh how wrong I was. Henry is such a great character, all of these characters vibe off of each other and as a family as a whole. Definitely not to be missed. I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review.

This was the best book so far in the series. I love the banter that always happens with Henry & Hunter. Then you put in a new person into the group and let the fun begin. Rae completely made Henry open his eyes to what could actually be possible. That he could trust someone again after being taken by the groupie that he thought really cared about him, but really just wanted dirt on the band. Both Henry & Rae fight with the feels that they each have due to things that have happen in their pasts, but will they be able to put that aside and move on to better things. I loved how Henry was always taking care of Rae and of course she was fighting him every minute. Great book and hope there is going to be more cause I have a feeling there are more stories waiting to be told.
