USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Dakota Madison and Sierra Avalon team up to bring readers a new breed of antiheroes…THE NINES.

Vengeance is mine not the Lord’s. It’s what I breathe for. It’s what I’m still living for. I live for the moment when I will literally have his eye for mine. It’s been two years. Two long and difficult years, but my plan is nearly complete. When I’m not in a hospital having doctors try to repair my ravaged body I spend my time on the computer, doing hacking jobs for large corporations and governments who don’t want to get their hands dirty or be associated with a job if things go sideways. But they don’t have any reason to worry. I’m meticulous, so I’ll never get caught. Just one thing stands in my way: The mysterious young woman without a past who desperately wants to be part of my future. I just need to figure out why…

THE NINES is an ongoing romantic suspense series. Each book can be read as a STAND ALONE NOVEL or as PART OF THE SERIES

I like how this story is different from the others that I have read before. I like how the author put in a little computer nerd/hacker spin on Alex in the story. Of course I like that since I am a little bit of a computer nerd myself. This was a very different spin on the college life than most books out there. A little bit of mystery and a little bit of love added in to make the story complete. It will be interesting to read the other books that are part of this series and see how they will go along with this book.

Franklin Smith was the perfect fiancé. He was at the top of our class at Stanford and had been recently accepted to Harvard Law. But Spring Break our senior year of college changed everything. He went back home to New Jersey and never returned. At his funeral I discovered a guy I never knew. His secret past. And a twin brother, Fisher, I didn’t know existed.

Author’s Note: This book is dedicated to cover model, Joshua Scott Nicholson (August 30, 1990 - December 12, 2014). I was given a copy of this book for an honest review for DRC’S REVIEW TEAM. This is the 1st book I’ve read from Dakota Madison. Chloe met Franklin at Stanford, they dated for 4 years, now engaged and preparing to go to Harvard Law school together, until he is killed in a car accident with Olivia while visiting family over a holiday break in New Jersey. When Chloe goes to New Jersey for the memorial service, she finds out that her entire life with Franklin was a LIE. What do you do when everything you believe to be true isn’t, and you find out your perfect fiance also had a child and a baby mama on the side, and you’re not wanted at his memorial service because you’re the other woman??? His mother hates and blames you for the accident that killed her son and her grandchild’s mother and he has an identical twin brother, Fisher(Franklin said he was a only child) who is your only friend. The emotions in this book are like riding a roller coaster “OMG”, this book has happy, sad and humor!!Chloe grows and learns about life, love and how to not judge people based on their education or profession/job thanks to Fisher taking her out of her comfort zone and challenging her to be herself, not her parent’s wind-up toy daughter. THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book is dedicated to the cover model, Joshua Scott Nicholson and a portion of the profits from the sale of the book are being donated to JOINING HEARTS,INC. in his memory.

Wow this book is really a very good book. Chloe is in college her last year and engaged to Frederick after college she is going to Harvard Law. Frederick goes back home for a vacation and the day she’s expecting him home he doesn’t show, she calls his cell phone and a lady answers, turns out he has died in a car accident. What does one do when you find out that the person you thought you knew was leading a double life. This story keeps you guessing and is a great book. I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review
